Immediate Supervisor: Health and Nutrition Specialist

Essential Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent is required
- Prior food service experience is preferred but not required
- CACFP training is preferred but not required
- Head Start experience preferred (minimum of two years) but not required
- This position is eligible for VEOA Veterans’ Preference
- Successfully pass required background checks.
- Regular and dependable in person attendance is required.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Understand and comply with the ESU #3 Board of Education Personnel Policies and Employee Handbook.
- Maintain positive working relationships with program co-workers, specialists, and supervisor(s)
- Receive food/beverage from food contractor and review required paperwork.
- Maintain food carts to ensure appropriate amounts of nutritional supplies.
- Serve food/beverage according to CACFP portions/regulations and deliver to individual classrooms.
- Ensure correct food substitutions are made for children with food allergies/religious preference.
- Maintain a clean, safe, sanitary work environment to include overseeing the cleaning of dishes, linens and other classroom supplies (e.g., bibs, washcloths)
- Participate in health and nutrition activities to include (but not limited to) CACFP, NAP SACC, family style meals
- Other duties as assigned.
